#173

| Christmas Eve on the C&O. For years, the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway used as its mascot a cat who was named "Chessie". Chessie adorned its timetables, dining car china, and its freight and passenger advertising. For its passenger service, it indicated to passengers they could sleep like a cat on the C&O passenger trains such as the George Washington, The FFV (Fast Flying Virginian) and the Sportsman. Here, on Christmas Eve, Santa is paying a visit to "Chessie" and her kittens, asleep in a roomette headed home for Christmas.
May your dreams come true during this holiday season.
