| Christmas Eve Travel on the New York Central. The "Central" used this late 1940's advertisement in major magazines to chronicle its new Post WWII streamlined passenger train fleet. Santa and his reindeer are flying over the observation car of a new, modern NYC streamliner as it whizzes through the snow on Christmas Eve. The narrative accompanying this ad notes that onboard, passengers are warm and toasty, enjoying a wonderful home cooked Christmas meal on the new dining car, and have at their disposal the most modern of all sleeping, lounge and coach class accommodations.
