Christmas Eve in Mononland. Monon's crack passenger train, the "Thoroughbred", is bringing holiday travelers back to their Hoosier state homes on Christmas Eve, passing near St. John's Catholic Church at St. John, IN. The Monon was a regional railroad running from Chicago to Indianapolis and Louisville which was absorbed by the Louisville and Nashville Railroad in 1971, and is now part of CSX.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year. |
