Christmas Homecoming. Monon's passenger train, the Thoroughbred, is bringing travelers back home to the Hoosier State for the holidays. The train crew is decorating their locomotive with a Christmas wreath purchased from some local boys in this Howard Fogg painting. The Monon was a regional railroad, running through Indiana, from Chicago to Louisville which was merged into the Louisville and Nashville Railroad in 1971.
