| Winter Service on the Algoma Central. The province of Ontario, for years, has subsidized passenger service between Sault St. Marie, ONT and Heart, some 250+ miles to the north in desolate Ontario, where the only way people can get in and out was by the ACR. Here, in the early 1960's, the North and Southbound Hearst trains meet on the former ACR, now a part of CN. Passenger service continues to this day. |
