| CPR running along the Northern shore of Lake Superior. Howard Fogg did this excellent winter picture showing the ice and snow laden rocky northern shore of Lake Superior -on the eastern leg of the CPR transcontinental route operated to Toronto and Montreal . Here, new CPR FA's are pulling a freight train through a small tunnel carved in the rock. This painting was commissioned by Montreal Locomotive Works to commemorate a hefty order of FA's by the CPR, which continued operating until the late 1970's and early 1980's. |
